CHAPTER FOURTEEN

Hollis inhaled at the predatory gleam in Lucas’ eyes. There was no denying that the wild side of the man lurked just below the surface, the continual flashes of red amidst the blue proof enough. She allowed Cullen to help her to her feet, but instead of moving directly to the bed, she stepped against Lucas as she wrapped one arm around his neck. He didn’t wait for her to lean in, possessing her mouth in a frenzied mix of lips and tongues. Cullen pressed against her back, the heat from his body intensifying every sensation. She didn’t know if the unrelenting ache was from watching Lucas surrender to them or the combined bites, but she was determined to finally have the men ease the constant fluttering of her stomach. The empty clench between her legs.

Lucas stared at her once they’d parted, his gaze traveling the length of her body as Cullen backed her toward the bed. He didn’t stop once they’d reached it, merely helping her scoot across the mattress until he was braced against the wall with her trapped between his thighs. His cock felt like a brand against her lower back as he wrapped his arms around her, the firm flex of his muscles making her smile. She loved that they seemed as equally affected as she was—equally invested.

Cullen tsked behind her. “Are you still questioning our devotion, sweetheart? Means we’re not doing this right.”

She glanced at him across her shoulder. “That wasn’t quite what I was thinkin’.”

“Wasn’t it?” Cullen dragged his teeth along her collarbone, and she couldn’t stop from angling her head to the side—giving him better access.

He chuckled. “You seem surprised that we can’t get enough of you. That our damn blood is boiling just thinkin’ about touching you. Tastin’ you. And that equates to the same thing. Thought we’d made it clear we plan on spending the rest of our lives loving you. Ensure your stubborn side doesn’t get that pretty head of yours into trouble.”

“You mean like getting involved with two men who clearly aren’t the least bit tame?”

He smiled against her skin. “Exactly like that. And speakin’ of tame…” He motioned to Lucas as the man stood at the side of the bed, a cloth dangling from one hand. “He looks like he’s about to sprout fur you’ve got him so worked up.”

“I don’t think it’s just me he wants.”

Lucas grunted as he crawled onto the bed. “Already told you I intended to have both of you. But first…”

He brushed the cloth along her chest, removing any remaining evidence of his release from her skin. “As much as I love seeing my claim painted on your flesh, you won’t be truly comfortable with your skin all sticky, especially when we’ve only just begun.”

Goosebumps erupted along her torso, the cool brush of the cloth a direct contrast to the burning sensation beneath her flesh. She reached for Lucas, dragging him to her before he’d had a chance to dispose of the cloth.
